Pattern for "Folk Angel" 11-15/16" by 36" Inspired by a drawing by Lynde Mott an artist friend who does excellent illustrations. She painted a similar drawing on furniture in her home and then did a pencil sketch which David redrew on AutoCAD to allow us to make a pattern and Jeanne cut and built the panel, which hangs in our home. The pattern comes as a black and white line drawing.
This is a pattern only. You can download it and print it at your leisure. No additional materials will be shipped. Images of completed panels are for color ideas for your inspiration. The pattern is copyrighted and is for your personal use and may not be sold or distributed in any way.
Inspired by "Folk Angel" by Lynde Mott
There is an instruction video on YouTube on how to put a pattern together.at https://youtu.be/H4y89rn8Hmo.
The pattern can be modified, colors can be substituted and textured clear glass can be used to enhance the look of the completed panel. There are 10 pages to the pattern, the first is a template of how the rest go together. Print the pdf and assemble the pages. Once it's together, make a copy and a poster board pattern to use as an assembly pattern.
This is not a beginner project, it's a little complex.
The face can be sandblasted on the glass on both sides and the red dot on the cheek can also be sandblasted and painted with enamel paint. There is an article on our website that shows how we sand blast and paint faces on glass. It's not the same face as your pattern, but it's bigger so easier to see details. You can find it at http://www.gsg-art.com/how-to-paint-a-face-on-stained-glass.html
Or you can leave it blank as we did on our finished panel.
When you get yours built, please send a digital photo to me david.gsglass [!at] gmail.com we'd love to see your work.
